• Answer any questions you may have (and there’s no such thing as too many)

Booking Your Session (A Gentle Commitment to Yourself)

Once you decide to move forward, booking your session is a powerful step. It’s more than choosing a date—it’s choosing yourself.

As a San Francisco boudoir photographer, I believe the booking process should feel clear and transparent. You’ll receive details about your session date, location, investment, and what’s included. Contracts and retainers are standard and exist to protect both you and your photographer, but they should never feel intimidating.

Pre‑Session Guidance & Preparation

Session Day (A Fully Guided, Supportive Experience)

This is the part most people are nervous about—but it’s also where the magic happens.

Professional Hair & Makeup

On the morning of your session, you’ll begin your experience with one of my trusted professional hair and makeup artists. You’ll head to their space first, where they’ll completely glam you up while keeping everything tasteful, flattering, and true to you.

The goal of boudoir hair and makeup is enhancing your natural beauty, not covering it up or going over the top. We intentionally avoid overly bold or distracting makeup so that your images feel timeless, soft, and focused on you.

This part of the day is also a chance to relax, be pampered, and mentally ease into the experience.

Arriving at the Studio

After hair and makeup is complete, you’ll come to the studio. We’ll take a few moments to settle in, stretch, and gently warm up your body before we begin shooting. This helps release tension and makes posing feel more natural and comfortable.

Guided Posing, Always

You are never expected to know how to pose. Every movement—from where to place your hands to how to shift your weight—is gently guided.

We move slowly, adjusting as we go, and checking in often. If something doesn’t feel right, we change it. Your comfort matters more than any pose.

Real Connection Over Perfection

Boudoir is not about holding a pose until it hurts or forcing expressions that don’t feel like you. The most beautiful images often come from natural movement, soft moments, and genuine emotion.

Privacy, Boundaries, and Trust

Boudoir photography requires trust, and your boundaries should always be respected.

You are in control of:

• What you wear
• How much skin you show
• Which images are shared (if any)

A Break, Then Your Private Image Viewing

Once your session is complete, you’ll take a one-hour lunch or coffee break. This time is intentionally built into the experience so you can decompress, refuel, and reflect.

While you’re on your break, I’ll be back at the studio carefully importing and lightly editing your images in preparation for your private viewing session.

After your break, you’ll return to the studio for your in-person image reveal. This is often an emotional and empowering moment for clients.

During your viewing session, we’ll:

• Go through your images together
• Select the photos you’d like to keep digitally
• Design your custom album, if you choose to create one

There is no pressure and no rush. This time is about choosing images that truly resonate with you and reflect how you want to remember this experience.

After the Session (The Confidence Continues)

After your viewing session, your confidence will still be on a high—and rightfully so. You showed up for yourself, trusted the process, and allowed yourself to be seen.

Your selected photos (or full gallery, depending on what you choose) will be completed within about a week from your session. I’ll always state the exact turnaround time in person during your viewing session so everything feels clear and aligned.

Once your images are delivered, you’ll take time to view them one final time and confirm that everything looks perfect before your album is sent off for production.

If you’ve chosen to create a custom album, it will be delivered directly to me first for quality checking and approval. After that, we’ll schedule one final meet-up so I can personally hand over your album.

From there, you’ll have something tangible to look back on—a reminder that you did this. That you honored yourself. And that you are, and always have been, the queen that you are.
